Joan and Family,
We are deeply saddened by Jim's passing. His dedication, sense of humor and commitment to Oakland was very much appreciated.
I personally had the honor of working side by side with Jim on the Oakland Board of Education for 9 years. His teamwork, friendship and guidance were special.
Our prayers are with all of your family.
