Charlie was a fun-loving, smart and caring person. I am glad that he was part of my circle at Bates and that we got to see him and Stacey at Reunion over all the years since 1985. May his spirit live on in our memories. Love and peace to you all.
Charlie was always the coolest & funniest guy in the room. It was always a pleasure to hang out with him. He made delivering a consistently funny line seem effortless.
Charlie also was a great storyteller. And he brewed his own beer. I'm already missing Charlie.
Charlie was vital. It is hard to believe that someone with such a vital spark in him has left so soon. He fiercely loved his family. He was funny, loved to talk about politics or any subject that interested him. I feel lucky to have had him as a friend since college. He had an amazing ability to get lost going to anywhere (pre-GPS). I will cherish all of the conversations we had over the years. My love to Stacey, CJ, and Charlie's parents.
Our thoughts of Charlie: Caring. Both understated and also over the top. From sharing the music of Maximum America. To his “surprise” wedding with Stacey. He always has a kind word. Always greeted us warmly. Talking politics with our parents. Attending nearly every party we had. Proudly handing us his baby son CJ to hold. Dancing with CJ at our anniversary party. Talking public health and water quality. Charlie was part of our group of WMSC friends for 30 years, and will be dearly missed. Heaven’s gain. Hugs and warm thoughts to Stacey, C.J., and everyone who loves them. – Michéle Samarya-Timm and Andy Timm
