Margaret Elise (Marge) Romaniello (nee Ranke), of Oakland, beloved mother & grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Marge was born in Hamburg, Germany on November 28, 1925. She came to America at age 5 with her parents, Otto & Elise Ranke. She grew up in East Paterson, graduated from Lodi High School, worked for decades as a bookkeeper, and maintained many lifelong friendships as a result. Marge is survived by son Alan Romaniello (wife Cheryl) of Cheshire, CT, and Valerie Bruno (husband Andy) of Oakland, and her loving grandchildren: Andy (wife Krystal), Max & Donna Bruno, and Jonathan & Laura Romaniello. She is preceded in death by husband, Charles, and daughter, Lynn. Funeral service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, Oakland on 6/14 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Ponds Reformed Church Cemetery, Oakland. Visitation will be held at Oakland Memorial Home on Sunday, June 13 from 2:00-5:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 228 Ramapo Valley Rd., Oakland, NJ 07436. A heartfelt “Thank You” to the good people of Messiah for being Marge’s extended family for so many years!
