I too, have VERY FOND MEMORIES of Millie. She was the very 1st Oakland (Bd. of Educ.) secretary that I met, after being hired by Vic Rabasca & William Risser, during student teaching @ Heights School, in 1979. She ALWAYS had the time & 'that smile'--to ALWAYS be of help. I also cherish having both of her grandchildren in VMS, as their science educator.

I am Aunt Millie's niece. My late father, Robert, was Ray Goelz's cousin. I believe that Ray and Bobby were close growing up and as adults. We always called Millie and Ray our "Aunt Millie and Uncle Ray". I loved my Aunt Millie very much. She was a major role model in my life. Vivacious, caring, smart, wise and always "out there" doing things, living life fully and without judgments or ever feeling sorry for herself at any of the down-turns life throws at us. I will miss her. But I know she is now watching over all of us, encouraging us to live our lives fully until we join her in heaven.

All my love the the family of dear Millie. You will look long to find a finer woman of God, gentle, strong, kind and loving. I taught in Oakland from 1967-2004 and dear Millie was a mentor, a role model, champion of Vic, kind to all. Never to be forgotten...that smile, that woman.
