We were so sad to hear about Sheridan. It's been great talking to him about the town ever since he walked into the Van Allen House a couple of years ago and told us he was the first person to build a fire in the restored fire-place in the house. We've enjoyed the newspapers and pictures he would bring to me in Borough Hall as he found various rememberances of the town around his house. The Oakland Historical Society would gladly exhibit any information he may have left for us. Look for our open-houses at the Van Allen House, 3 Franklin Ave. or contact Jerri in Borough Hall during the work week. Our heart-felt wishes to Sheridan's family. Jerri and Klaus.
