Elmer Cronk, 95, of Oakland, NJ passed away Friday, October 5th, 2017. Born in Midland Park NJ to Abram and Florence Cronk; Elmer was Army veteran who served during WWII and resided in Oakland NJ for the past 71 years. Prior to retiring, he spent 45 years working for DeMartini Coal and Lumber Co in Waldwick NJ. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life for 73 years, Grace (nee Jacobs), by his Daughter, Irene Hanratty and her husband Dick of Vernon NJ, by his Son Bruce and his wife Nancy of Kansas City MO and his Son Chuck and his wife Melissa of Fletcher NC. He was very proud of his grandfather and great grandfather title. He is survived by his 7 Grandchildren; Christopher Cronk (Caroline), Chad Cronk, Mickey Cronk (Heather), Amy Belzile (Mark), Suzanne Ashoff (Tom), Chas Cronk and Cassie Cronk. He was blessed to have lived to see and impart his "One day at a time" wisdom to his 13 Great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakland Memorial Funeral home located at 330 Ramapo Valley Rd (Rt.202) Oakland NJ. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning October 10th starting at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Ponds Church
