Spiccia, Teresa "Tessie" (nee Crapella) age 89 of Hollywood Florida. Born October 15, 1923 in Paterson NJ passed away in Hollywood Florida after a short illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Spiccia (2002) also of Paterson. They resided in Oakland for 40 years before retiring and moving to Florida in 1993. Tessie was a loving and beloved mother to Diane Brown, her husband William of Oakland, NJ and Joanne Valinski and her husband Stanley of Burlington, Connecticut. She was also the sister to Jennie Hilpot of Paterson, NJ. Her early career was with the Western Electric Co. and later with Avion Corp, a defense electronics company. She was an active member of the Oakland Senior Center and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. R.C. Church Oakland, NJ As an energetic and active member of her retirement community in Florida, she was known for her smile and enthusiasm. Funeral departing the Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley at 9 AM on Saturday March 16, 2013 for a 9:30 Am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R. C. Church 117 Franklin Avenue Oakland, NJ Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Totowa Boro, NJ. Relatives and friends may visit the Funeral Home on Friday March 15, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children Foundation or to the Parkinson's Research Center.
