Mary Ellen Flannery, age 71, passed peacefully on December 22. Devoted wife of 45 years to Patrick. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Kathleen and husband Gerard Callahan of Montgomery, NY, Deirdre and husband Pete McGinty of Ringwood, NJ , Patrick and fiancé Traci Meyer of Oakland, NJ. Beloved grandmother of Thomas, Mary Kate, Lily, Sean, Brendan, Liam, Patrick and Maggie, Sara, Katie and Mark. Mary Ellen was born in New Haven, Ct, and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to Teaneck, NJ and lived the past 35 years in Oakland, NJ. She was a successful real estate agent for the past 30 years, and was last employed by Caldwell Banker in Ridgewood, NJ. She was predeceased by her mother Mary Ellen, father John Cassidy and her brother John. She is survived by her sister Kathleen McCort, of Budd Lake, NJ, brother James Cassidy of Brooklyn, NY and many nieces and nephews. Funeral departing the Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley Road Thursday December 27, 2012 at 9:30 Am for a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary's R.C. Church 17 Pompton Avenue Pompton Lakes, NJ Entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery Mahwah, New Jersey .
