Obituary of Harold Vincent Gusterson

Harold Vincent Gusterson, 83 of Oakland, NJ passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Harold is a graduate of Bergen Co. Vo-Tech H.S and a proud Veteran of the US Army. Upon his return from the service he worked as a machinist/tool & die maker and later bringing his talents full circle, returning to Bergen Vo-Tech to teach eager students his craft until his retirement in 1994. While still teaching others, Harold returned to school to earn his B.S. from Montclair State College in1980. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing with the Bergen Salt Water Anglers and tending to his vegetable garden. Beloved husband for over 57 years of Barbara (nee Lichtenberger). Devoted father of Leigh Gusterson, Gary T. Gusterson and his wife Kristine. Loving grandfather of Azalea Gusterson, Joelle McCauley, Jenna Rayne and Thomas G. Gusterson. Visiting Tuesday 3-7 PM at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ. Memorial Service and Military Honors presentation at 6:30PM.
