Obituary of Andrew Belden DuMont

Andrew Belden DuMont, 56, of Oakland, NJ passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 after battling an extended illness. Drew was born in Montclair, NJ to Allen and Josephine DuMont on May 6, 1962. A graduate of Keene State College (New Hampshire) Drew received his BS in Electrical Engineering. Drew worked at AI Logix as a Chief Technology Officer and a VP of Research & Development for 10 years. Most recently Drew was the Owner/Private Contractor of Professional Home Repair LLC. In 2004 Drew was married to Lisa Ann Cooper. Drew was a devoted family man who enjoyed hiking and biking with his wife and their two loving children Jack and Grace. In his spare time, Drew was a passionate photographer; a true visionary with such a creative eye. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. Drew is predeceased by his brother Terry, his father Allen and his grandfather Allen. Drew is survived by his wife Lisa, their two children Jack and Grace, his mother Josephine DuMont Teaze (predeceased by Josephine's late husband Dr. Allison Dodd Teaze), sisters Anne DuMont and husband John Kim , and Aimee DuMont Peppel and husband Jeffrey of Chester, NJ, his sister in law Nancy DuMont (wife of late brother Terry), as well as nephews Gregory and Christopher (and wife Rebecca) Peppel and niece Emily Peppel. Visitation will be held at the Oakland Memorial Home on Wednesday, July 18th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM which will include a celebration of Drew's life. Burial will follow at Ponds Cemetery in Oakland. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Andrew can be made to Jack and Grace for their future education
