To my family~ my heavy heart beats with sadness. I'm so sorry for your loss Uncle Tommy, I know you and Uncle Jim were very close. I'm sorry for your loss Aunt Angie, your love for my Uncle, was always with passion, and balance. I'm sorry for all my cousin's, Kalyn, Lara, Erin & Jimmy. We never had the opportunity to get to know each other, certainly not by our choice. I have fond memories of your dad, my beloved Uncle, from when I was a little girl. If we could only turn back the hands of time...if only. I'm sorry John & Dustin, I'm not sure how well you knew our beloved Uncle, but you probably got to play "hand slap" once or twice, and if you didn't, you would have lost anyway...he was always faster than me anyway! I'm sorry, to all my second cousins, your grandpa, my Uncle, was a great man to know and you're all very blessed to have had time, (never enough) with him...be grateful for the memories.
I regret not being able to attend the service, honoring a man that I wish I had known more about. My family was not very open about matters, important matters, but how can we learn if nothing is spoken? Our beloved grandmother, aka Mrs. T, never knew the truth about her daughter, your great Aunt, your mom's Aunt, Uncle Jim's and Uncle Tommy's sister, my mother. Why? Because it was never told. So, I will say what is in my heart...talk, talk about the good times, bad times, happy and sad times. Laugh, cry, pray, whatever it is, to get you through this difficult time. Because time, is precious and we're all just passing through. Hopeful, that we can get to know a little bit more about each other, I can feel the connection, we just need to make it happen, as children, we rely on the adults in our lives to make good choices for us...it's unfortunate for us, when they don't.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal...love leaves a memory no one can steal. Find comfort in the memories...take them out whenever you need and enjoy every moment, not one is ordinary.
