~Life-long Giants fan, Louis Maresca, Jr., 85, of Oakland, N.J. passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 21. (His death was in no way related to his beloved team’s horrible record, but was a sore subject in his final months.) Louis leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Joyce, with whom he shared seven children; Michele Maresca, Patrice Torino, Luanne O'Hanlon, Louis Maresca III, James Maresca, Kristin Carroll, and his clear favorite, Lucy, a Welsh Terrier. Louis, also known as “Pop” to 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, was a paratrooper during the Korean War and a truck driver of over 40 years. Louis loved reading, working out, and spending summers at the Jersey Shore with his extended family. He will forever be missed.

Louis' extended family includes grandchildren; T.J. & Jackie, Lauren & James, Matthew, Michael, Jake, Kelli, Kiersten, Victoria, Connor, Kelsey, Paige, Elyse, Nicolas, and Lucas, son-in-laws; Thomas, Don, and Kevin, daughter-in-laws; Melissa and Pattie, and great-grandchildren; Logan, Keeley, Jameson, and Axle.
