In Loving Memory of Jane Manziano
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jane Manziano, who peacefully passed away from us, on Tuesday, March 11th.
Born September 25th, 1942, to Jack and Ruth Darcy, Jane was raised in Jersey City and graduated High School from St. Dominic's Academy in Jersey City.
Following high school, Jane worked in various positions, eventually rising to the Head Cashier position at Merril Lynch in New York City, where she also learned how to successfully trade in stocks (a skill she learned listening into meetings held by the Executives at the firm; during her time, it was very rare for a woman to engage in these pursuits)!
She married the love of her life, Frank Manziano, on November 24th, 1962, with whom she shared the rest of her life. In 1968, Jane and Frank moved their young family to Oakland, NJ, where they raised two children—Frank Jr., and Mark. Jane was an extraordinarily loving and devoted mother, raising her children and engaging with their friends and her family throughout her life. She was also a devoted grandmother to two cherished grandchildren, Alexandra and Liam.
Jane was a highly intelligent and ceiling-breaking path-maker throughout her professional career, who inspired many people whom she met professionally and in her local town of Oakland. She was a cancer survivor and successfully navigated numerous health ailments many years before the last stage of her life. Jane was always extremely grateful for the intensely devoted efforts of her husband, Frank, who never left her side and made her comfortable until the end of her life.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Oakland Memorial Home on Wednesday, March 19th, from 4 PM to 8 PM.
