Obituary of Linda Jean Christman

Linda Jean Christman, 81, formerly of Watertown and Potsdam, NY, and Jacksonville, FL, passed away on December 20, 2024 in Lincoln Park, NJ.

Linda was born in Watertown, NY to Donald Hamilton Parker and Rhoda Irene Parker (nee Rathburn) on May 15, 1943.  She attended Watertown High School and worked as a Nurse’s Aide, Department Store Clerk and Cook over the years.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Carol Baughman of Jacksonville, FL, son David Christman of Lincoln Park, NJ and stepdaughter, Catherine Dowling of Harrisville, NY.  She is also survived by two sisters, Judith Dietz of Woodstock, GA and Nancy Arruda of Watertown, and one brother, Earl Parker of Watertown and sister-in-law, Shirley Christman of Potsdam, eleven grandchildren: Tisha Lennox Marois, Tara Lennox, Cathy Ann Lennox, Lloyd Lennox, William Donovan, Robert O’Donnell, Thomas O’Donnell, Jack Christman, Scott Christman, Elisabeth Christman and DJ Christman.  She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews and several great-grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her husband John C. Christman, daughter Dawn Marie Christman, both parents, two brothers, Daniel Parker and Douglas Parker and grandson Donald Donovan.

Linda will be cremated with a burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam, NY in Spring 2025.  Plans are for a graveside service at that time.  No visitation or funeral is being held.
