My Dearest Aunt Rainey:
I admired you my whole life and thought of you as one of the most sophisticated women I had ever met. You were so incredibly smart, articulate, and beautiful! I was saddened to hear of your passing and only wish things could have been different. I believe God has called you home where you are now with Lynn, Uncle Joe, Nanny, Mommy, and everyone you loved and loved you. I know how much you loved the Catholic Faith and I know you are in paradise where you are young and beautiful, and no longer suffering with any pain or illness. Until we meet again, I will miss you and will remember all good times had by our family since I can remember as a child. Playing beauty parlor where all the girls did their hair and makeup, going to visit up in Oakland, especially in the Fall, then you would take my children for Easter break when they were little as well. You held a special place in both children's hearts and they have fond and loving memories of you as well. You will be missed dearly. May you rest in eternal peace with the rest of our family members that have gone before. I am grateful for all of the happy and joyful memories of having such a special Aunt.
