Joseph Thomas Infosino, 92, of Oakland, New Jersey, passed away on September 14, 2024 in his home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and will be deeply missed.
His funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Oakland, on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
Joe was born in Brooklyn, New York to Rose and Joseph Infosino. He graduated from St. John’s University summa cum laude in 1953 and received an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1960. A lifelong learner, after retiring he attended courses at the Institute for Learning in Retirement at Bergen Community College. Joe worked as a systems analyst for several corporations, working for many years at Crum and Forster Insurance Company.
A man of deep faith, Joe was active for decades at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, a lector, a writer for the bulletin, and on the parish council.
Joe cared deeply for his family and friends and spent many happy hours around the dinner table with them. He always thought about the needs of others. He was a voracious reader and had a dry sense of humor.
Joe is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Dorothy; children Anne Marie, Andrew, Monica, and Joan; daughter-in-law Silvia and son-in-law Don; grandchildren Darci, Sophie, Elise, Isabella, and Marco; and sisters Marie and Lillian. He is preceded in death by his brother Alfred.
