Obituary of Maria Antonia Cassera

Maria Antonia Cassera, a resident of Ringwood, NJ for 52 years, passed away on August 28, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY in July of 1942, Maria was the devoted daughter of Egidio and Filippa Domanti.

Maria recently celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary with, and is survived by, her adored husband, Anthony. She was a devoted and beloved mother to her sons, Stephen and Michael and cherished sister of brother, Mario. Family was the center of her world, and her love for them was unwavering. She is remembered as a source of immense strength, grace, and wisdom.

A proud Brooklyn College alumna, Maria began her professional journey as a teacher in the New York City Public School System. After relocating to New Jersey, she embarked on a new career path with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from William Paterson University. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling tenure at Union Camp Corporation in Wayne, NJ.

Maria's life was a testament to her quiet strength and loving nature. She was revered for her wisdom and her ability to navigate life’s challenges with grace and courage. Even as she bravely battled a long and complicated illness, her nurturing spirit remained steadfast. Maria had a profound love for nature and all living things, always caring for and nurturing everything around her.

Maria’s extraordinary spirit will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, wisdom, and quiet strength will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

A funeral service to honor Maria’s remarkable life will be held at Oakland Memorial Home on September 5, 2024. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate her legacy of love, strength, and kindness.
