Obituary of Ronald Michael Beekman

Ronald Michael Beekman was born on June 21, 1956, the second child and first son of Janet and Ron Beekman. Ron was a leader to his four younger brothers growing up. He usually had some antics or fun planned for them, as well as always helping them and his older sister, throughout their growing up years.  Ron was fun loving throughout his life. He had a ready joke or smile and loved teasing friends and family. Ron was a very hard worker and loved to do remodeling and landscaping for himself and others.

Ron was a graduate of the New York State University of New York at Oswego, earning a bachelor’s degree in education. He taught for three years, before beginning a career in carpentry. He established Beekman Construction and worked for several years doing all sorts of remodeling work. In 1996 he became a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial and completed several advanced designations. He loved helping people through his financial practice and was a successful businessman. Ron was a wonderful father and husband and son. He was a faithful church attendant and enjoyed sharing his faith in Christ.  Ron passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 11^th.

Ron is survived by his wife, Judith Beekman, his sons Joshua (Donna) Beekman, step granddaughter Maya, Daniel (Jihyeon) Beekman, his mother Janet Beekman and brothers Brian (Cora) Beekman, David (Jennifer) Beekman, Michael Beekman, Steven (Lois) Beekman and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to St. Jude’s Hospital, or Prison Fellowship Ministries or Samaritan’s Purse
