Maryann Elizabeth Kutches Jackson was born May 2, 1947 to her loving parents, Joseph and Pearl Kutches. She grew up with her older brother, Alex, in Elmwood Park, NJ. Growing up, she loved to dance, be with her family and friends, cook, and read. She was also a Majorette for the Elmwood Park Memorial High School Crusaders.
After graduating high school, she went to school to became a medical secretary. She began to work for Drs. Charles Hirsch and Neil Share; the office would eventually become Fair Lawn Women’s Health Group. While working there, she met her future sister in law, Janet, who introduced her to her future husband, Bill. Maryann and Bill were married May 3, 1975. They had 2 children, Michele and Christopher, who they raised in Oakland, NJ.
Maryann loved her family. She was always there for her children’s activities, whether it be cheerleading, dance, softball, baseball, football or ice hockey. She was Michele’s Girl Scout leader and helped out with Christopher’s Boy Scout troop.
Maryann always enjoyed spending time with her husband Bill; they rarely did anything without each other, always by each other’s side.
Her favorite past times include reading, cooking, baking, sewing and vacationing with her family.
Maryann passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on March 24, 2023.
Maryann is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bill; her 2 children Michele Newman (Jason) and Christopher and her 2 adoring granddaughters, Joelle and Chelsea, who were truly the light of her life.
