Grauer, Paul J. 74 of Oakland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Born and raised in Teaneck, he then served his country in the US Army for two years in Frankfurt, Germany. He resided for the last 45 years in Oakland with his loving wife of almost 50 years, Maureen (Micki). In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his devoted children Jennifer Sunda and her husband Robert and Dan Grauer and his wife Lisa. He will be dearly missed by his adored grandchildren Ryan and Matthew Sunda, and Alexandra, Taylor and Christian Grauer. Paul is also survived by his three sisters Linda Neveu, Jeanne Bernhard and Claire Spinelli. Paul retired from Verizon after working with them for 35 years. He then worked for several years at Schwerdtle Corporation in Mahwah. He was a voracious reader and avid armchair sportsman. Visitation will be Friday September 23, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley Road Oakland, NJ. Cremation will be private. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association or your favorite Charity.
