Obituary of Vincent M Franco

Vincent M. Franco, of Ringwood, NJ, formerly of Bergenfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022. He was born in New York City to Vincent and Anna Franco on February 24, 1944. Vin was the loving husband of Eileen Franco, beloved father of Vincent Jr and Darrin, daughter-in-law Lindy Franco and proud grandfather to Julia, Anna and Patrick. He is also survived by stepsons Sean, Barry, Noel and Keith Deloughery and their wives Kimberly, Jennifer, Cheryl and Pauline. Loving step grandfather to Sean, Clare, Courtney, Ryan, Evan, Keith and Gavin. Vin was predeceased by his first wife Julia (Curley) Franco. Vin worked as an installer for Otis Elevator, Local 1, for 30 years before retiring early due to a work-place injury. In his retirement he was an avid woodworker who loved spending time outdoors, fishing and boating and he enjoyed watching his beloved Yankees. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and step grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 4:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland NJ 07436. Funeral mass at 11:00am on Friday, February 25, 2022 at St. Catherine of Bologna Church, 112 Erskine Road, Ringwood NJ 07456. Burial will follow at Christ the King Cemetery Franklin Lakes, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Catherine of Bologna Church or the American Kidney Fund (AKF) would be appreciated.
