Obituary of Patricia Ann Newton

Patricia Ann Newton of Ringwood, New Jersey, passed away on January 19, 2022, in her home surrounded by her children and friends. She was 80 years old. Patricia was born on July 21, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Josephine Edith Waldron and Basil Dutko. She is predeceased by her husband, William Newton, and her mother-in-law, Mary Newton. She lived in Ringwood’s Erskine Lake community for over 40 years with her husband and family. Patricia was involved with the Ringwood Seniors Club, the Golden Age Club in Bloomingdale, and the ELPOA (Erskine Lakes Property Owners Association) Women’s Club. Patricia loved celebrating life with good food, good wine, and lots of friends and family. Her attitude for fun was shared among many in the local senior’s groups, in dozens of trips and outings together. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed keeping family together, especially at the holidays. She especially adored her grandsons, watching them grow up around her. Patricia loved music, Neil Diamond, and dancing, and made everyone around her laugh. Her life touched many who will miss her greatly. Patricia is survived by her children and their families: Dawn Strand and her husband, Eric, and their sons, Justin and William, Erin Thacker and her husband, Mike, and their sons, Shane, and Aidan. She is also survived by her goddaughter, Kirsten Fowlds, and Devin Beucler, who was like a son to her.
