Obituary for Beatrice M. Mondare Our beloved Beatrice May (Lynch) Mondare passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the age of 80. She was born in New York City to Mary and Patrick Lynch on November 9, 1941, and raised in Bronx, New York. Beatrice lived most of her adult life in Oakland, spending the last several years residing in Wanaque. She graduated from The Mount St. Ursula High School and the College of Mount Saint Vincent in New York with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. She later earned a Master of Theology from Seton Hall University . Beatrice began her professional career as a software engineer at IBM, before transitioning to her passion for education and faith as a Religion teacher at Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township, New Jersey. She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph, and her devoted children, Catherine Donovan, Sean Mondare and his wife Melissa, and Mary Mercadante and her husband Marc. Beatrice also leaves her brother, Patrick Lynch, and her sister-in-law Bernice Siegel, and her five grandchildren, Connor, Caitlin, Kodie, Evan and Fiona. Also surviving Beatrice are her many nieces and nephews. A private family service will take place on Monday, January 3, 2022, with a public funeral mass to take place later in 2022. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beatrice’s name to Family Promise (www.familypromise.org). Family Promise provides services and shelter to homeless working families.
