Ron shared an unforgettable and special bond with each member of his family. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. Ron was predeceased by his loving parents, Joseph and Mary Furnbach. His dad taught him to work hard and his mom fed him well, as he always said his mom’s cooking was the best! Ron was the second youngest of six children. Ron was also a proud member of the Ringwood Volunteer Fire Department for many years at the Erskine Lakes Firehouse. He went on to achieve the rank of Assistant Chief.
Ron had a love for cars, especially his ’57 Chevy convertible and numerous Cadillacs through the years. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching the New York Yankees, fishing and snowmobiling. He also loved caring for his farm, horses and garden. Most of all, Ron enjoyed his trips to the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City with his family!
Ron was known for his big blue eyes and warm, welcoming smile. He was the most loving, kind, honest, generous, hardworking, exceptional husband, father, grandfather and friend you could ever ask for. To know Ron was to love him - he was truly the best!
