Let me begin by offering sincere condolences to the entire Furnbach family. I worked for Ron in the late 1960's, which at that time was his Esso station, later to become Exxon, at the foot of Skyline Drive. He was a great guy to work with. One event sticks out in my mind... I accompanied him on a road call somewhere in Cupsaw and when we were returning after that call coming down Skylands Road toward the reservoir, out over the water on the other side of the railroad embankment, we BOTH saw what appeared to be a flying saucer... couldn't believe our eyes! If you lived in Ringwood at that time, you'll remember the cars lined up on both sides of Route 511 around the reservoir to catch a glimpse of the UFO's which were sighted, apparently seen by people other than Ron and myself. True story! Rest in peace, my dear friend.

Ronnie was one of the best neighbors anyone could ask for. I always remembered him helping me out when my car broke down in town when I had just moved into the neighborhood almost 45 years ago. He was always there to help a neighbor in need.
He was a kind man with a great sense of humor. I always enjoyed our conversations when we would see each other. He was so proud of his children, grandchildren, and son-in-law, AJ. Ronnie always told me about all of their accomplishments.
Ronnie loved Atlantic City! It was his favorite place to go. He loved spending the cold months as a ‘snowbird’ in Florida.
Ringwood was the richer for having a man like Ronnie living here. He will be missed terribly. May he rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his loving family.
