My deepest sympathies to Aunt Barbara & my cousins Sandra, Rob, & Frank. Your words during the service were so beautiful & seemed to sum up as best as possible the wonderful person your father was to many around him. I hope the memories you have and the ones shared by those whose lives he touched help in some small way to ease the pain of your loss. Rest in Peace Uncle Frank.

You will be forever missed Uncle Frankie. I will miss all your stories and your no nonsense ways. I always knew to be better when you were around and even when you weren’t because of you. Thank you for being such a big part of my childhood. Until we meet again. I love you.

Frank started out as a neighbor, became a friend and eventually family. My kids looked up to him and he was always good for advice or a laugh. He will be deeply missed and the neighborhood won’t be the same without him. God bless you Barbara, Rob, Sandy and Frank.

Here is a man who was as genuine as they come. He would go out of his way if he saw you just to say Hello. Frank could talk your ear off, sometimes both, but you always ended up laughing and enjoying his conversations. Frank was dedicated to Oakland more than most people know. I will always remember the stories, laughter and most important the friendship. Cindy and I wish to express our sorrow and condolences to Barbara and the kids.

There are no words when you suffer such an incredible loss, when you lose someone who has been beside you your whole life. Uncle Frankie and Aunt Barbara have made such a huge impact on my life. I am so grateful, so happy to have been blessed with an uncle who was so strong, loving, and devoted, not only to me but to everyone in our whole family and always ready to help or be there for any of us. The countless memories i have shared with you I will always cherish. Christmas will never be the same without you. I will miss your voice, your stories, your laugh and your presence. I love you Uncle Frankie, rest peacefully and I hope you know how much you are loved and how much you will be missed. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Dearest Barbara and family:
I was so sad when I read about Frank's passing. What a wonderful obituary for him and the many things he accomplished in his lifetime. Of course, I probably knew Frank before I even met you in HS, since his family lived across the street from my Grandparents in Lodi, and it was a pleasure to speak with him and share some of our remembrances from our childhood. Barbara, I have had you in my prayers ever since you told me you were not feeling well, and I will continue to pray for you every night. I will reach out to you after the holidays. God bless you and your family during this terrible time.
Much love,
Arlene & Peter

Dearest Frank
When I heard the news, I was incredibly (shocked/saddened/heartbroken.) We never really think that those so near and dear to us will really pass, so I know this must be especially hard on you and I can't imagine what you're going through. I know your (spouse/family/friends) are by your side during this difficult time, though. From Andrew, Hans, and Ingrid Brand

I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. He was one of the funniest, friendliest, kind and caring people we ever met when we moved to Oakland in 1977. My husband, Andy, loved being in Frank's company, at the rec field, helping all the kids and the community. He was a real go getter and do gooder. What a shame. He will be missed. May he Rest in Peace in God's Kingdom until you meet again. Our condolences and sympathy are with you, Barbara and your whole family. God bless and keep all of you well and safe out there.
Love,
Marian Pennachio and Family

I’m so sad at Frank’s passing. Me and my family, his neighbors, are going to miss him a lot. Frank was one of a kind. He was one of the first neighbors to welcome us to the street and through the years he was always outside, ready to help out, and always willing to share his thoughts, which were gained from years of experience working with people. He had a heart of gold and was a loyal to the core. Our town and our neighborhood just won’t be the same without Frank Monaco. I’m so grateful to have been his friend. I am grateful of the support he gave me personally and to my wife and three sons. I’m so glad he let me take this photo of him recently, which shows what a patriot and a proud American he was. This town lost a one-of-kind volunteer and contributor for many years. Every town needs a “Frank Monaco,” who doesn’t just talk, he led by example and got things done. To Barbara, his loving and supportive wife of 55 years, thank you for sharing Frank with our community over the decades. I am so sorry for you loss. RIP Frank
