Obituary of Christine Ryan

Christine Julia Ryan (nee Genovese) July 13, 1924 – March 1, 2020 Christine Ryan of Hoboken, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Christine was born to Jenny Wisniewski Genovese and Charles Genovese in Jersey City, NJ. Christine is predeceased in death by her beloved husband Daniel Joseph Ryan; her parents Jenny and Charles Genovese; her siblings Thomas and Gerard; her son Daniel and her granddaughter Tara Flanagan Smith. Christine worked as a secretary for the New Jersey State Unemployment office. Under the stage name, Baby Christine, she performed on stage in her youth as a contortionist. She was a mascot for the Jersey City Fire Department. Christine graduated from Dickinson High School and during her twelve years of education, she never missed a day of school! She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul RC Church and a longtime member of the Rosarian Society. During her retirement years, Christine enjoyed going to Atlantic City with her husband and her mother. Christine is survived by her children; Christine Flanagan & her husband John, Gary Ryan & his wife Linda, and Noreen Karpinsky & her husband Douglas. She leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Kerry & her husband Fernando Zambrano, Siobán & her husband John Amoruso, Christine & her husband Matthew Pedalino, Pamela & her husband John Nyman, Leah Karpinsky, Darla & her husband Earl Semper; and her great-grandchildren, whom she referred to as cherubs - Abigail and Audrey Amoruso, Liam and Grace Zambrano, Isabella and Aidan Pedalino, Killian Nyman, Anora and Carter Semper. Christine always said her life was truly blessed with so many wonderful children! Rest in peace, mom. I (Kutchie) will sorely miss you.
