Obituary of Craig Vollmin

Craig R. Vollmin passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.  Craig was a lifelong resident of Oakland; Son of the late Joseph and Elsa Vollmin of Oakland.  Survived by his wife Terry (Kaminski) Vollmin and his son Andrew  Vollmin.

 He went to Indian Hills High school and graduated in 1984.  Craig was a chief range safety officer at ANJRPC (Association of NJ Rifle and Pistol Clubs).  He was an employee of Haven motor Service for over 15 years in Ridgewood NJ.   

He enjoyed tinkering with cars and his electronics his entire life; from when he was a teenager and his involvement with the 4-wheeling club.   Craig was an avid train enthusiast and spent many hours with his son working on the trains.  They also enjoyed playing with the RC cars and drones.  He was always seen with a big mug of coffee.  He enjoyed his time on his boat. He was a loving and devoted father. 

Survived by his wife Terry (Kaminski) Vollmin and devoted son Andrew Vollmin of Oakland NJ.  Craig was a dear brother to Wayne Vollmin and his wife Kathy of Oakland N.J. and Richard Bachmann and his wife Ruth of Mahwah NJ, also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at Oakland Memorial on Monday May 13, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8.  With a prayer service at 7:15 pm held by Pastor Julie Haspel  from Messiah Lutheran Church.
