Obituary of Patricia A. Haworth

Patricia A. Haworth (nee Shannon) passed away on April 15, 2019, at the age of 90.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and is the daughter of Patrick and Anna Shannon, who came to the United States from Ireland. Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Louis – they were married 44 years at the time of his death.

Patricia is survived by her children – Joan of Larchmont, New York, Timothy of Oakland, New Jersey, and Kenneth and his wife, Jean Marie, of Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.  She was a proud nana to her granddaughter, Riley, and her grandson, Patrick.  Patricia is also survived by her brother, James Shannon, of Clifton Park, New York.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, in Oakland, New Jersey. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 17 Pompton Avenue, in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.  Interment will be private. 

Patricia adored animals and adopted many pets during her lifetime including her darling cat, Nora. In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, 2 Shelter Lane, in Oakland, New Jersey.
