Obituary of Vanessa Mirkov
Vanessa Christina Mirkov of Oakland, NJ, age 34, left us on Thursday, February 28th, 2019.
Vanessa was the dearly beloved daughter of Gabriel and Vilma Mirkov, sister of Anastasia Markou and sister in law to Vassi Markou. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandmother, Stanka Skalko, her aunts and uncles; Lillian and Sergio Sergides, Zvonko and Yvette Skalko, Vjek and Diane Mirkov, Florian and Diane Mirkov, and many loving cousins.
Vanessa grew up in Mahwah, New Jersey and graduated from Mahwah High School. She attended William Paterson University and ultimately followed her passion to become a licensed Cosmetologist. She worked for Cookie Cutters Salon as a professional Children’s hairstylist.
She will be fondly remembered for her sensitivity, sense of humor, keen wit and contagious laugh.
Most recently she proved to be a courageous fighter.
