My deep condolences to the entire Favaro family. Although Jim and I only saw each other 3-4 times after high school graduation, neither the time nor the distance could break the brotherly bond that existed between us. At the 40th class reunion last June, we vowed to not let many years go by again and to try to get our families together.
Our friendship goes back to early childhood. Jim was my first friend from elementary school who did not live on my street. Then there was high school. I could write a small book of our times together with a cast of other supporting characters. For now those stories will remain classified. Throughout childhood and teen years, Jim was without a doubt the funniest guy to be around. No matter what we did or where we were, there was always constant laughter.
Until eternity, may he rest in peace and I hope moving forward we can all focus on how blessed we all were to know him. My prayers will be with his family daily.

I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR OF JIMMY'S PASSING IT CAME AS SUCH A GREAT SHOCK. I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES I HAD WITH HIM IN SCHOOL. THE LAST TIME I SAW JIMMY HE INTRODUCED ME TO HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN AND YOU COULD SEE HOW PROUD HE WAS ABOUT HIS FAMILY.
TO HIS FAMILY I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU ALL THE STRENGTH TO CARRY ON. HE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY. I ALWAYS REMEMBER GARY AND HIS MOTHER TOO. GREAT FAMILY AND THE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES I HAVE OF THEM.
MAY HIS MEMORY BE ETERNAL.
WITH MY HEARTFELT SYMPATHY,

Jimmy was a terrific guy! I so enjoyed the time we spent together in high school. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. We talked quite a bit at our high school reunion and he spent a great deal of time talking about his family - you could just see the love! My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

This picture is from one of Al Rausa's Halloween parties (1972?). Jimmy in the lovely blue lingerie on the right, Phil Fabrizio on the left being groped and I don't know who is in the middle. Never a dull moment with Jimmy.

My deepest condolences to the Favaro family. Those of us that grew up with Jimmy will always remember his great sense of humor and his athletic ability and intensity. When you were around him, you always knew that he would make you laugh with some outrageous antic. (Remember how he would twist his head and neck during study hall or lunch?). I'm glad that I was able to spend time with him before last year's class reunion. Rest in Peace, Jimmy! I bet you're making them laugh in Heaven!

My condolences to the Favaro family. It was a sad day when I found out Jimmy had passed on. I was shocked to say the least. Fortunately we have many fond memories and stories that will last forever in our minds & in our hearts. We will always remember Jimmy's contagious smile, his positive attitude, his love for his family & friends, his competitiveness, his sense of humor, and of course his great hair (when it was long).
I remember one story during our Thanksgiving break. We used to play touch football over at Memorial. Jimmy & I were always on opposite teams and we would both end up covering each other. I could beat him on speed, Jimmy beat me with his savvy. When he caught a pass, and I was just about to tag him, Jimmy suddenly would fall on the ground, causing me to run right by him. Then he would get up and keep on running. That frustrated me because he kept doing it even though I knew he was going to do it!
Jimmy, I will always remember our time together. Rest in Peace my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. It's been 40 years since our high school graduation and even though our paths have not crossed much since then, neither time nor distance can erode the memories of our shared experiences. Jim was a central character of the Emerson HS Class of 1974 and was loved by all. Fortunate are we who are able to say "Jim Favaro was my classmate; Jim Favaro was my friend." My deepest sympathy to those who knew Jim best - his family. May you all find comfort in the knowledge that so many
people share in your loss and that so many lives were touched by the
hand and heart of Jim Favaro. Rest in peace my friend.

We have lost another great person. Jimmy was like an extended brother/son/uncle to the Karpovich family and always welcomed and enjoyed at many family events. His unexpected passing has deeply saddened the Karpovich/Johnsen/Broggi family far beyond what any words can convey. Life and health is precious, don't take either one for granted. You will be missed Jimmy! Peace, love and prayers to Janet, Olivia and Matthew.
