Obituary of Eugene Victor Andrea
It is with great sadness that the family of Eugene Victor Andrea announces his passing after a well-fought battle with cancer, on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Eugene was pre-deceased by his devoted, beloved wife Kathleen and will be lovingly remembered by his 3 children, Thomas Andrea of Pompton Plains, Marykae Scott of Sparta, and Alan Andrea of Sparta. Eugene will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Jared, Brandon, Spencer & Pierce as well as his elder brother Ralph.
Eugene was a proud veteran who served in the US Navy from 1950-1954 on the USS Wright. He owned and operated United Appliance Center in Hackensack for many years, where he repaired household appliances. Originally from Garfield, NJ, he moved to Saddle Brook and then to Paterson to start his family. He later moved to Oakland, NJ. During his last years, he lived with his son Alan who was his primary caregiver. Under Alan’s diligent care, the quality of Eugene’s life was greatly increased and he got to enjoy many happy moments with his family.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, 3:00-7:00 pm at: Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, New Jersey, United States
A Funeral Service honoring Eugene will be held on Wednesday December 19, 2018 , 11:00 am at: St Mary’s R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Avenue, Pompton Lakes, New Jersey
His final resting place will be at Garden Of Memories, Soldier Hill Road, Washington Township, New Jersey
