CULOSI, Frank, Age 93, Beloved husband of Marie Quartararo Culosi, of Franklin Lakes, NJ passed away peacefully on June 30, 2012. Born on September 21, 1918, in New York City, Francis J. Culosi was the son of Giovanna Leggeri and Salvatore Culosi. He was united in marriage to Marie Quartararo on September 29, 1940 at St. Joseph R.C. Church in New York City. Frank worked in the New York City garment industry for over 45 years as a pattern marker and grader. In 1960, he and Marie moved to Demarest, NJ where they were members of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus at Queen of Peace Church in Closter, NJ and a member of the Demarest Senior Citizens Club.
In addition to his loving wife of 71 years, Frank is survived by his daughter, Johanna Dolecki, and her husband Kenneth, of Oakland, NJ; and his son, Salvatore Culosi, and his wife Anita, of Annandale, Va. Mr. Culosi was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Dolecki-Smith and her husband Brad, Constance Gulley and her husband Steve, Cynthia Sauer and her husband John, Salvatore Culosi and Christopher Culosi, as well as 9 great-grandchildren, Nayanna and Grady Smith, Victoria, Stephanie and Jennifer Gulley, Christopher, Michael, Alexandra, and Matthew Sauer. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Dr. Salvatore J. Culosi, one brother, Pino Culosi, and four sisters, Mary Culosi, Rose Ferfoglia, Pauline Toscano and Lucy Marotta. Visitation will be held at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ, Friday, July 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church, 25 Purdue Avenue, Oakland, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hackensack UMC Foundation for Ophthalmology, 360 Essex Street, Suite 301, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
