Richard Schrier peacefully passed away after saying goodbye to his family on January 26, 2015.He was born in Bronx, New York and lived in Parkchester before moving to Oakland, NJ, where he was a resident for 46 years. His pride and joy in life was his family. He leaves behind to celebrate his legacy his wife of 56 years, Gerri; his daughters ,Holly and Mindy; sons-in-law, Michael Muller and Chris Neff, and his five grandchildren, Morgan and Jennifer Muller and Jack, Kevin, and Meghan Neff. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, devotion to his family, and strong work ethic. He loved beachcombing on Long Beach Island and Sanibel, woodcarving, and spending time with his family. He received his Bachelors degree from New York University and his Masters degree from Long Island University. He was a Certified Public Accountant who was admired for his professionalism, integrity, and compassion. Please join us for a celebration of his life on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 4PM to 9 PM at Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley Road Oakland. Funeral Services will be held on Friday Morning 10 Am. Burial will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery Emerson, NJ. His family would like to thank Dr. Marc Melamed and the compassionate staff of 3 West at Christian Care Health Center, especially Albert, Jolly, Klaudia, Keena, Marjorie, and Sonya. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to the Oakland First Aid Squad and the Children's Room at the Oakland Public Library.
