Kelly, Francis James Jr. (Frank), 83, of Oakland, NJ died on Sunday, December 1, 2013. He was born on October 13, 1930 to Francis James, Sr. (Howard) and Kathleen (nee Broderick). Beloved husband of Ann (nee Williamson) for nearly 45 years and loving father of Terese and Francis James, III (Fran). Dear brother of Joan Mooney and the late Margaret Phalen, Ursula Kelly and Paul Kelly. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews, godchildren, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Born and raised in the Bronx, he attended Cardinal Hayes High School and then joined the United States Marine Corps. He served from 1948 - 1952 receiving certification for basic engineer construction. During that time period, he fought in the Korean War in 1950 until he was evacuated in 1951. He was an experienced maintenance machinist for more than 40 years with primary focus on repairing and maintaining printing presses. Throughout his career, he worked at various newspaper printing facilities, Einson Freeman, Inc. in Fair Lawn and Banknote Corp. of America in Suffern, NY. Visitation will be at Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland, NJ on Wednesday December 4, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family and friends may join at the funeral home on Thursday at 9 a.m. to attend Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Parish at 17 Pompton Avenue in Pompton Lakes, NJ at 10 a.m. Final resting place will be Maryrest Cemetery 770 Darlington Ave. Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Mary's Parish.
