Botsolis, Athanasios (Tom) age 92 of North Bergen, NJ passed away on May 3, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Hoboken, NJ he resided in North Bergen for almost 40 years. He proudly served in the US Army and spent forty-four years as a Merchant Marine before retiring in 1978. He is pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Basil, his brother Gus, sisters Angelica Botsolas and Vaselika Gonis, and his nephew Lawrence Botsolas. Surviving are his beloved sister in-law Roseanna Botsolas, nieces Maryann and husband Timothy Thompson, Barbara and husband Paul Eischen and Patricia Botsolas. Great nephews Michael Thompson, Christopher Botsolas and his wife Cheryl and Timothy Thompson and his wife Janet, nieces Kelley (Botsolas) Helbig, Lauren Botsolas, Danielle Eischen and Nicole Eischen. Also survived by two great great nephews and three great great nieces. Relatives and friends may visit the Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley Road on Monday May 7, 2012 from 7-9 PM Funeral Service Tuesday morning 9:30AM at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Veterans Affairs Hospital or Department of Veterans Affairs.
