Anderson, Alice (nee Pedersen), 91, passed away on Tuesday March 15, 2016. Alice was born and raised in Weehawken in 1924. She worked in an embroidery factory before her marriage to John W. (Jack) in 1954. They raised 4 children in West New York. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and recently great grandmother. Alice loved spending time at the Jersey shore in Spring Lake with her family. She enjoyed drawing, swimming, walking and food. She got her driver's license at the age of 67 so she could see her family and get down the shore. Alice was predeceased by her husband Jack, in 1991, and her sisters, Karen, Gloria and Ellen. Survivors include her children John W. and his wife Noreen, of Oakland, daughter Gail and son Stephen of Oakland and son James and wife Beverly of Brockton, MA, her grandchildren Jack, Derek, Hank, Stephen Dane, Jessica, Jamie, Ryan, Luke, Kara and great granddaughters Amelia and Isabella A funeral Service will be held on Friday March 18, 2016 at the Oakland Memorial Home. 330 Ramapo Valley Road. Oakland. NJ At 9:30 AM followed by a burial at George Washington Memorial Park Paramus, NJ. Family and friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday March 17 from 4-8 pm.
