McMahon, Esther B. (nee Redner) age 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014. She is now reunited with her beloved husband John A McMahon, her son John P McMahon and grandson James McMahon. Esther was born on June 11th, 1915 in Paterson, NJ. She married John McMahon on June 15th, 1945. In 1976 she moved to Oakland and was an active member and past President of the Oakland Seniors. She enjoyed leading the Seniors' Exercise Group and Bowling Team. She will always be remembered smiling, singing and dancing. Esther is survived by a daughter Arleen (McMahon) & husband Charles Gorla of Oakland, son James & wife Debbie McMahon of Oak Ridge and daughter in law Marie McMahon of Riverdale. She was a cherished grandmother to 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at Oakland Memorial Home on 330 Ramapo Valley Rd, Oakland, NJ on Thursday October 30, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral Service Friday 9 AM October 31, 2014 at the Funeral Home followed by Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Totowa Boro. Since Esther did not like flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Family Reach Foundation, 2001 Route 46 East, Suite 310, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
